Joye Forrest received the prestigious title of Miss Missouri USA 2021 on May 1st, 2021. Her passion for dance has led her to create #HitTheStreets, a platform that uses dance to build bridges in a divided world. Joye has danced since the age of three. She is a proud graduate of New City School and Crossroads College Prep. She followed her dream, receiving the Sharon Disney Lund scholarship, named after Walt Disney’s daughter. She graduated with honors from the number three arts school in the world, the California Institute of the Arts, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Joye is a former Los Angeles Laker Girl. She has traveled to nine countries to teach dance and has performed with numerous artists and companies worldwide. She has had the opportunity to speak at countless schools, churches, and social events, always building self-esteem, breaking racial bias and barriers, and sharing joy and the art of dance with people around the world.
